On November 10 local time, a commencement ceremony was held for PENTA-Annual Output of 8 Million Tons Nickle Mining and Transportation EPC Project in Indonesia, which is jointly contracted by Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute Co.,Ltd of China Power Engineering Consulting Group(CSEPDI) and China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Power Engineering Co.,Ltd(GPEC).

   Located in Banggai, Luwuk, Middle Sulawesi Island Indonesia, with a total area of about 1220 hectares, the scope of the Project mainly includes surface clearance, surface stripping, mining, transportation and shipping.

   The commissioning of the Project will further promote the upgrading of the local nickel industry, consolidate the local nickel ore product supply position and play a positive role in promoting the local economic development.

   The successful implementation of the Project is another important development achievement of GPEC and the enterprises belonging to China Energy Engineering Group to practicing the "The Belt and Road" initiative, deepening cooperation, strengthening cooperation between big companies, seizing opportunities in overseas markets, exploring non-electricity fields and deepening development of the Indonesian market.
