On December 12, the consortium, formed by China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Power Engineering Co., Ltd (short for Energy China GPEC) and Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd of China Power Engineering Consulting Group(short for CSEPDI), and Cong Thanh Group together held EPC contract signing ceremony of 1× 600 MW coal-fired power plant in Wuhan.

The consortium of Energy China GPEC and CSEPDI and Cong Thanh Group together signed the EPC contract.

Cong Thanh 1×600 MW coal-fired power plant is located in Ting Gia County, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam. The contract includes the work of power plant EPC and the wharf.

For years, Energy China GPEC has deeply cultivated the Vietnamese power market. Since 2006, CEECGPEC has completed Campha Phase I 300 MW Coal-fired Power Plant, Campha Phase II 300 MW Coal-fired Power Plant, Mao Khe 2×220MW Coal-fired Power Plant, Vinh Tan 1 BOT Coal-fired 2×600 MW Power Plant Project. Currently, Duyen Hai Phase II 2×660 MW coal-fired power plant project is under construction.

        The signing of Cong Thanh 1×600 MW coal-fired power plant EPC contract has not only consolidated Energy China GPEC decade’s strength in the Vietnamese power market, but also demonstrated strong alliances and complementary advantages between design institutes and construction companies within China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. In the course of the follow-up projects, Energy China GPEC and CSEPDI will continue to uphold the tenet of sincere cooperation and mutual benefit, make Cong Thanh 1×600 MW coal-fired power plant a benchmark project in the Vietnamese, and make new and greater contributions to the everlasting friendship between China and Vietnam.
